Reducing Our Impact,
One Step at a Time
Our Green Action Plan sets out the steps we are taking to reduce our carbon footprint and the support we provide to our customers to help them reduce theirs too. We promote a positive attitude toward the environment in all of our locations throughout the United Arab Emirate. We aim to use less resources year after year and consider alternative practices to minimize the damage we do to the environment.
In addition to this Middle East Fuji Group externally accredited ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification demonstrates our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and ensures legal compliance.

Environmental Management System certification covering marine and offshore supplies, and supply of goods and material to land-based companies, hotels and other organizations.

Certificate of Conformity for Oxo-Biodegradable Plastic Products, issued under the UAE Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology's Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme.

Rooftop solar panels installed at our Dubai Head Office contribute directly to our annual energy saving targets.
We set and agree annual targets to save energy and reduce our carbon footprint, aiming to draw on renewable sources wherever possible to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
Less Film, Less Waste
We've moved to biodegradable LLD PE stretch film for pallet wrapping, packaging that breaks down into natural elements, reducing landfill waste and pollution compared to traditional plastic wrap. This is certified by SGS Gulf Ltd, the notified body under the UAE Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology.
Automated wrapping machines have replaced manual pallet wrapping across the warehouse, applying a far greater stretch capacity to the film than is possible by hand, which considerably reduces the amount of film used per pallet.

Where Our Waste Actually Goes
We partner with certified recycling companies in the UAE and receive documented proof of every collection.
Alpha Emirates — 24 Trees Saved
1.43 tonnes of waste paper & plastic recycled in a single month, saving an estimated 24 trees.
Green Mile Recycling
780.50 kg of mixed recyclable waste collected and processed — 100% recycled, zero landfill.
Green Zone, Head Office
One of our in-office recycling points, run in partnership with Green Arabia.
Reducing, Reusing & Recycling
A well-established recycling system runs across our Head Office, with practical steps to cut material use at the source.
Green Zones
Dedicated recycling stations throughout the building for paper, tin cans, cardboard, plastics and printer cartridges.
Paper Reduction Target
We use an estimated 3.8 million sheets of A4 paper annually, all recycled — with a goal to cut that below 1.2 million by 2025.
Carton & Foil Reuse
Cartons and wrapping foils collected from ships are reused for our own deliveries rather than discarded.

Fuel Emissions & Driver Training
We actively monitor, measure and report on fuel consumption and carbon emissions across our fleet.
Hybrid Fleet
Almost all of our passenger cars have now been changed to hybrid vehicles, markedly improving fuel efficiency.
GPS Driver Behavior Monitoring
A GPS package with a driver-behavior suite measures harsh driving and speeding, so we can identify and correct trends.
Fuel Efficiency Training
All drivers take part in regular internal training to ensure efficient driving that reduces our carbon footprint.
Ongoing Reporting
Fuel consumption and emissions data is tracked continuously, feeding directly into our environmental targets.
Awareness Starts Inside the Business
We ask our employees to be fully committed to protecting the environment. Staff play an important part in keeping the company environmentally friendly, so we continuously educate them on the impact of everyday activities and what we can do to minimize it.
That same thinking extends to how we market ourselves. Our promotional materials use sustainable materials wherever possible — a small but deliberate way of showing our commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
